Outdoor Vintage Signs
While away on vacation this past week in a small town a few hours from my home, I found a piece of history that is now forgotten, yet still existing. While walking down the historic downtown section of town I noticed a newer building made to look like an old building, but it was clearly quite new.
As I walked past the store I noticed a small alley between the new building and the older building. They were built very close together - Maybe 20 inches between the two. As I glanced down the alley I noticed a painted sign on the side of the old building. It was a colorful painted sign advertising a grocery store that once occupied the building.
From what I could see of this vintage sign, the store was a typical grocery store built likely around 1900. They advertised eggs, cream and dry goods. Thankfully when the new building was built, they sign was not destroyed, but no one knows that either way. Its covered up and unlikely that many people will see this sign and at some time in the future, it will have to be torn down. Another piece of history; gone.

I have a very tall roadside texaco sign and need to sell it. I have pictures and would love for someone to give me an idea of its value. Email me jennyofath@juno.com and please put texaco sign in the subject line. Thank you much Jennifer
